Mushroom Gravy Recipe
Gravies are my specialty. You may remember awhile back, I posted a scrumptious sausage breakfast gravy recipe. I want to become a master of gravies, but I have many more techniques to learn. One of my projects for the coming year is to learn to make each of the 5 mother sauces (read more here) so I can make a variety of sauces and gravies of my own creation using those basic skills.

Holiday Trail Mix Recipe
My absolute favorite christmas movie that I love to watch every year is Disney's I'll Be Home For Christmas starring the adorable Jonathan Taylor Thomas. It is the perfect funny and heart-warming movie that speaks to the 90s kid in me. Most of the film takes place on the road as Jake (JTT) travels across the country to catch up with his girlfriend Allie (Jessica Biel), and so he can make it home in time to get his dad's Porsche. It inspired me to make a travel-friendly snack that you can take on the road while you're getting where you need to go for the holidays. You can package it up in a cup to sit in your cupholder as you drive across town, the state, or the country.

Dinner and A Movie: Maple Syrup Spaghetti Recipe with Buddy the Elf
Happy holidays foodie friends! It's the most wonderful time of the year! Christmas trees, pretty paper, twinkle lights, you name the cheesy christmas theme and I swoon. I'll say it, I'm kinda a christmas junkie. I love it, I love my family, and when I get to spend time with them I feel lucky, so what is there not to like? And that time is usually spent making merry, eating, crafting, talking, decorating, all that shizz is right up my alley too. Sign me up!
I've been blasting my Christmas playlist on Spotify, (listen with me here) and I've been streaming christmas movies as much as possible. Which is precisely what brings me to the recipe I am sharing with you today.
It's like my own little version of dinner and a movie. Make yourself up this quick and easy dinner for two. It is so simple, and at the same time exciting, because it's offbeat. It's breakfast meets dinner. It's salty, sweet and savory perfection. Maple syrup spaghetti and eggs is inspired by Buddy in Elf, a truly fantastic holiday movie. Syrup is, of course, one of the 4 food groups that elves try to stick to. Go watch it, yes, even if you've seen it before- it's that good. Just like this recipe- it's that good.

Blog to Taste Turns Two!
Hello foodie friends! Today's post is totally fun and exciting. Blog to Taste turns two tomorrow! Honestly, that is crazy! It seems like just yesterday we were in the planning stages of putting the blog together and deciding what we wanted it to be about. Since then some things have changed, but a lot of the things continue to be the same.

Cranberry Apple Cobbler Recipe
Happy Saturday! It's been a crazy week for me. Finals at school are quickly approaching (as in this coming week), work has been keeping me going and there has been a lot of important TV to watch (did you see The Wiz Live?!). When it came time to make this week's holiday inspired post, I knew I'd want something that would be simple because if I think this week is stressful trying being in the days leading up to Christmas, yeesh!
