Cupcake Review: Bliss Bake Shoppe

Hello Foodie Friends! Today is a good day. A great day even. Because today I get to share a cupcake review with you. And who doesn't love reviewing cupcakes?

Back in December, Blog To Taste had a birthday. I knew right away that we would have cupcakes, But where were we going to get them. Normally I would make my own Easy Dairy Free Cupcakes, because my whole philosophy on eating with others while having a food allergy is: make the one item that you cannot live without at a party. I am the kind of girl that if I am going to a party with cake in mind, I want to be able to eat the cake. Not just watch my friends eat it. Dang it. But I was busy, and I knew I couldn't take the time to make cupcakes the way I would want to. So I volunteered to get the cupcake for the party and set out on finding some non-dairy options for myself.

Easy & Fresh Tomato Soup Recipe

Here at Blog to Taste, we love soup! Last week Warren posted a delicious and hearty recipe Chicken Bacon Cauliflower Soup. My soup has a little anecdote to go along with it. To start from the beginning, I order groceries from Safeway online and have them delivered. Generally, it works out great, and it is so convenient. On occasion, though, they bring either the wrong item or don't bring an item at all. This week, though, they went way overboard. I ordered 4 tomatoes... they delivered 4 pounds. Sure, I could have taken them to a store and returned the ones I didn't need, but I decided to make use of all these fresh tomatoes instead.

Chicken Bacon Cauliflower Soup

Hello foodie friends! Let's get this out in the open, who doesn't love soup? Honestly, soup is so great. It's a total must during the colder months because when you eat soup is warms you right to your core. I can feel it keeping me warm. Also, making soup is fantastic because you can do whatever you want with it!

London Food Journal: Call Me Mr. Lucky

After my disappointing fish and chips dinner from The Anchor Bankside, I was ready to move on, so I told my fiends "I read about a secret bar that you have to use a password to enter, it's about a five minute walk and I know the password. Do you guys want to go?" It was an astounding yes, and off we went into the London night.

Crispy Asian-Style Chicken Thighs Recipe

These last few weeks I was suffering from a major case of bloggers' block. I couldn't get inspired, and I didn't know what I wanted to cook or write about. I cycled through a list of foods in my mind, searched through Pinterest and Instagram food photos, and browsed the grocery store in hopes of finding a beacon of inspiration. I ended purchasing a bottle of Oregon-made Rosé wine hoping to use it as a starting off point. In the end, though, my cravings lead me to an idea. Oh, and don't worry, you'll be seeing my wine-inspired recipe later this month.

Lunching at Lardo: A Review

Eating out in Portland is hard work. There are so many good places to choose from, and now that my life doesn’t take me into the city as often as it used to- My list of places I’d like to try is getting longer and longer.

Lardo made the short list though- and I jumped at the chance to pop in, order up a sandwich and scarf, accompanied by two of my favorite guys- my husband and dad.

London Food Journal: The Anchor Bankside

London is a hugely populous city, its population of 8.5 million people is more than the entire state of Oregon, which is 4 million. However in land mass, Oregon is much larger than the city of London, it is closer in size to the entire size of The United Kingdom, which includes England, Scotland and Ireland. So it's dense, right? In the city, even on a weeknight, restaurants were fairly busy.
