Game Day Dip: Pepperoni and Sausage Pizza Recipe

Image MapHappy Super Bowl, foodie friends! Rumor has it there's two animals that are going to battle it out. Ones a wild horse, the other is a wild cat. In all reality, I'm not going to be watching the game, but I do love a wild cat, so I'm going to root for the Panthers.

Truly, what's important are the commercials, a Lady Gaga performance, a rumored Beyonce half-time performance and all the snacks you can desire. This recipe is all about that snack table realness.

I was inspired by the fact that Holly and I found ourselves at Old Chicago a few SBs ago. I believe it was the year of Yonce. If you've been to Old Chicago you know about these DIVINE Pizza Nachos that they have. They are cheese, spicy and delicious. Also, how many dips videos has Tasty been putting out lately?! (Tasty are those food videos that pop up on Facebook, I believe they're a part of Buzzfeed so of course they go viral).

WHAT YOU'LL NEED

• 3 Sausage Links
• Pepperoni Slices
• 12 ounces cream cheese
• 1 cup mozzarella cheese
• 1 cup cheddar
• 3/4 cup parmesan cheese
• 1 cup pizza sauce
• Dried basil
• Oregano

WHIP IT UP
Pre-heat oven to 375˚

Start by cooking the sausage links until cooked crispy brown and then chop up.

In a medium oven-safe dish combine all ingredients, except cheddar. Mix around and then top the dip with the cheddar cheese.

Bake at 375˚ in the oven for 30 minutes.

While the dip is baking, slice up a baguette. I topped with olive oil and a pinch of mozzarella.

Once the dip is done baking, pull out, move the oven rack up one and then set the oven to broil. Put the dish back in and broil for another three minutes until the cheese crisps and bubbles up.

Broil the baguettes until corners crisp up.

Serve hot and cheer on your favorite team.

So we have to know, who are you rooting for during the big game tomorrow? No, I'm not talking teams (unless you want), I'm talking who are you rooting for to have the best commercial?!

Happy Sunday!!!
