Margaritas are my favorite adult beverage- especially blended ones. I love the feeling of the smooth, cold perfection. One of the greatest purchases of my grown-up life was the Margartiaville Frozen Concoction Maker. It never fails in making an amazing margarita, and it is so easy to use. At the same time, it opens the door to limitless experimentation in the blended drink realm. You can make daquiris, smoothies, or just a pitcher full of shaved ice. Next to my Kitchenaid, it's my favorite kitchen counter appliance.
While on a blogger get away with Warren, Rosie and Sarah (from ), I made a delicious batch of margaritas to go with our Mexican-themed fiesta dinner. I have a recipe that I use every time, so I thought I would finally share it with the world. It's basically fool proof, and you can even try it in a regular blender. Honestly, though, the best margaritas are made in the Margaritaville Frozen Concoction Maker!
Ingredients
1 cup Reposada tequila
1 cup triple sec
1/2 fresh lime
12 oz can of frozen juice (Hawaiian's Own is my favorite brand)
3 cups of ice cubes
Margarita salt
Make it
1. Pour the liquor and frozen juice into the pitcher.
2. Squeeze the lime into the pitcher.
3. Add the ice and blend until very well combined. The ice should not have any chunks left.
4. Wet the rim of 4 margarita glasses, dip them in the salt, and then fill the cups with your frozen concoction.
5. Enjoy with a group of good friends and a gorgeous sunset!
