Hello food friends! With the big red holiday coming, Holly and I thought it would be fun to put together a series of food that would encompass an entire meal. I'm here to give you the first main dish which is the steak.
Steak is on of the quintessential Valentine's meals. I don't know why, and I don't know if that is scientific or more of just a belief in my head. Either way, I'll show you how to quickly make the perfect steak dish.
Ingredients:
• 1 New York strip steak
• 1 Finely chopped medium sized garlic clove
• 1/4 Cup shredded parmesan
• Garlic salt and Pepper
• 1 Tbsp EVOO
Directions:
For the steak place on the broiler pan and season with garlic salt and pepper. You will be putting on the top rack and then turning on the broiler. Don't forget to leave the oven door open when you broiler (I don't really know why, it's something my grandmother and mother both taught me to do; Holly's mom backed me up).
While you begin broiling in a saucepan add the EVOO, parmesan and chopped garlic. Heat on low just until the cheese starts to melt.
Once the cheese has sufficiently melted and you're ready to flip the steak over, drizzle the cheese on top.
The end result is magic. You're partner will think you're a culinary master, but in reality it was a breeze!
Happy loving foodies!
Stick around because I have a feeling you're going to LOVE the meal Holly and I put together for you guys!
