Cherry Nutella Waffles Recipe

Hello foodie friends! It's finally Friday, which, if you're feeling like me is a blessing. It's been a hectic month, and I'm looking forward to slowing down and taking a deep breath. One way to take it easy and start the weekend off right is to have the perfect breakfast. Waffles will do that for you, and I have the perfect recipe for you.

Does anyone feel like cherries are THE fruit of summer? I'm sure that you're probably feeling that after a double post of cherries this week. My absolute favorites are Rainier Cherries. Mix that with Nutella and make a breakfast dessert waffle? Yes please!

INGREDIENTS
• 2/3 cup of Nutella
• 1/2 cup of cherries (Rainier preferred) pitted and chopped
• 1 1/2 cup of flour
• 4 eggs
• 1/4 tsp cinnamon
• 1 tsp vanilla
• 1/3 cup peanut butter
• 1/8 cup of sugar
• 1 cup milk (not pictured)

MAKE IT UP
In a large mixing bowl mix in sugar, vanilla, cinnamon, eggs, milk, flour and 1/3 cup of the Nutella.

Pit and chop up cherries into little chunks and then mix into the batter.

Pour batter into a container and cool in the fridge for about a half hour. Use this time make some fresh whipped cream, clean up some of the mess or check out some of our latest posts on Blog to Taste :)

After the batter has cooled and settled in, heat up your waffle iron/maker and go to town making some wildly delicious waffles.

I decided to serve up this recipe with a delectable topping of whipped cream made fresh and a warm mixture of 1/3 cup peanut butter and 1/3 cup Nutella. Pour over the top of your waffles and breakfast is served (especially with some candied bacon).

How are you going to celebrate the weekend?
