Sweet and Sour Seafood Spread

Sometimes you just want a easy and delicious snack on a hot summer day. Well, maybe all the time. Instead of the usual sandwich or salad for lunch, I decided to make yummy Sweet and Sour Seafood Spread on baguette slices. This is the first time I've made this dish before, so I wasn't sure if it would turn out as I was imagining, but I am happy with the result. It is a cheesy, flavorful, and very quick snack. Also, I am in love with Kikkoman Sweet & Sour Sauce for Dipping. It's light, a little bit spicy, and it has a fantastic orange color.

What you'll need:

2 cups of diced crab or imitation crab
4 oz salmon-flavored cream cheese
4 oz original flavor cream cheese
1 tbsp of mayonnaise
3 tbsp sweet and sour sauce (like Kikkoman)
Ground black pepper to taste

Make it:

1. Microwave the cream cheese in a small bowl for about 30 seconds to soften.

2. Combine diced crab or imitation crab with the cream cheese, mayo, and sweet and sour sauce.

3. Mix the ingredients together gently until blended.

4. Chill the spread for an hour and then spread on a delicious baguette, crackers, or on a bed of rice. Don't forget to sprinkle a little black pepper on top!

Alternate option for a colder day:

Spread the Seafood mixture on 4 to 6 baguette slices, top with a small amount of shredded cheese, and bake at 400 degrees on the top rack for 5 minutes.
